got my motor back in ( the built up 2.5 ) running good power steering pump leaking /whining/and the pully is wobbling so i need a p/s pump for an 88 mj whith a 2.5 anybody got one laying around that is good and for sale thanks :cheers:

ok my 2 cents i am running a tbi 2.5 cone air cleaner up thru the hood with a scoop on it bored .040 over open exaust with flow thru cherry bomb 4 speed 3.55's 4X4 added p/s and i can smoke my 31 mt's on black top and climb anything i want no problum :cheers:

um o2 sensor controls fuel air mix so i would start there

i've never had luck cleaning a cpc its not the dirt on the out side that is the prob they get dirt or oil or water inside them and don't move right as for fuel check fuel presher at the thotal body low presher won't make u rich it would make u lean

so should be worth getting he says i can drive it home it's soposed to just have body damage nothing strucual

what should i expect to see for a rear end /gears trans / tranfercase

had this prob befor change the cps mine was dirty and sticking throwing the timming off

:agree: your timing will be i think 10 degres advanced when running the cps tells it when to fire so if cap and rotor are in the right place it will run if not it won't

or you work the motor hard it can over heat big tires tick mud mud pluging radiator stuck themastat can all over heat a motor as well but do what eagle says i've been there doing head and gaskit this week myself :cheers:

ok everyone i havn't been on much so here is the update got a 2.5 for the mj with 40k miles on it just set it in the truck today just need to hook everything up motor i pulled out has antifreze leaking into cyc botum end still good flywheele bolts were loose ecoing thru motor other update is i'm a grampa as off 3:44 am monday my little girl had her fist kid a little girl ok enough for now :cheers:

hay buddy no i broke it and found motor 4 months ago it's been a little cold and snowy to change motors in the drive way lol i don't have a garage it is ready to come out now i am waiting for my buddy to get home from work so i can go get the puller and other motor out of his garage so it might be in tomaro u can come help it's only 3 more hour out here lol i got beer and wisky plenty of both later :cheers:

i had one of thoses years ago it talked about 10 feet cb antenas run off ground plane u have to have a good ground u want antena as close to the middle of vehical as u can and 3/4 of antena above roof if u want it to work good go with k40 or wilson magnet mout works the best and yes thay are vary hard to knock off if u miss the tree lim by 4 inches thay will stay on :cheers:
