  1. You can get a junkyard 4.0 for next to nothing and a 258 for nothing, combined you can make a killer 4.6l I6 and everything will bolt up, tranny, electronics, belts, hoses, motor mounts, radiator etc. I know it will be a bit more, but in the long run it'll get done sooner and all the little things add up on the V8 conversions. I have a TPI SBC in my CJ7, and it was cheaper to build a Chevy V8 than an AMC I6, but after all was done the I6 would have been the same money and a very cool engine with plenty of jam. A friend did a 4.6l I6 in a Grand Cherokee and it had a bit more than stock 5.2 Grands did, apples to apples comparison.
  2. Yes, my garage has stained carped with burn holes from welding and grinding. It's comfy on my feet when I'm wearing socks (like in this picture), and when it's almost freezing out it's really nice.
  3. I just got a new set of springs made from my local spring shop. They are a 4+1 set up with a military wrap around the front eye.
  4. Can't you still buy new fuel tanks? When mine rusted out about 8 years ago my local auto parts store got me one, it was cheap too.
  5. Can you see a picture?
  6. Are these a direct fit for Bushwacker flares? I am in need of rear flares to replace my missing Bushwacker flares and would rather not drill any more holes.
  7. If shipping to Canada is reasonable I need a set too. I take it the springs will essentially be metric ton springs military wrapped. They can be wrapped in the back too, just need to make new shackles.
  8. Ever consider a Mercedes diesel? There are lots of donor cars here (Canada) for cheap, dunno how many there are in the states. Here is a link to a company that has adapters to fit what you will need: http://www.mercedesdiesel4x4.com/ I would love to see one in action!
  9. I have a 40 series Flowmaster, no cat and a Pacesetter header (only one made for Renix I think) and it's not too loud. The pipe exits in front of the rear wheel, so there is only one bend in the system, and it's all 2 1/4". A friend put the same system on a Grand Cherokee and had to add a hi flow cat to shut it up, seems it was louder cause the muffler is under the body not the bed.
  10. Does anybody make a military wrap spring?
  11. Does anyone make stock height rear springs? I would like a set, preferably 1 tonne, but anything decent will do. I have a SOA setup and don't need any more lift but, just that my springs are done. I take it Hell Creek is no longer, too bad.
  12. Have you run Hell Creek springs before? I'm in need of a set of stock height springs to replace my worn out stockers. There are not too many people making stock height springs, and I want to keep it spring over.
