Sorry to hear about your coolant issues, you will get it figured out. Let me ask you about your lift and tires. Do those 33s rub alot with you rlift? -
Truck looks Amazing!!! I know what your lift is but how bad did the 33s rub when you only had 4.5 lift in front.I have that front and rear and want to try 33s.

Dual Diaphragm Brake Booster On An '86 Mj
martin809 replied to onlyinajeep726's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have a 92 Comanche. Do I understand this correctly. I DO NOT have to grind down the rod to do this upgrade. I can take any dual diaphram and MC from a 1999 Wj and it will work. Direct bolt on?- 18 replies

I have a 92 Comanche. I have changed to 97 up front end. The inner fender on my old parts just crumbled. Do I need to get 92 inner fenders or 97+. Also does anyone have a good source for these other than ebay. One guy wants $120 for shipping. Thats insane in my book. I hate to keep asking questions but I do search before I ask. I just sometimes can't find the answer.

Thanks for the quick response. I was afraid of that. I should probably do what the kit says, but I wanted to check first. Thanks Again.

I know the kits says 32 inch tires but I am wondering if 33 12.50 will fit without a lot of rubbing. I will not wheel it hard. Just some light off road when hunting. I have Ravine wheels with a spacer. I think the spacer is 1.5 Thanks for your advise!!

Thanks johnnyc. I didn't think about closing the other socket. This is why I like to ask people who have "been there done that".

This is how she sits right now. Still alot of work to do but its coming along slowly

I am doing the 97+ front end swap. I am not changing the interior as of yet. What have you done about the double light socket in the front marker lights. My original 92 has a single socket and the new 97+ has a dual hole. Trying to get some ideas, is it a simple splice another socket in or could this be a fire hazard? Thanks in advance for your help.

Headlight Adjustment Spring
martin809 replied to martin809's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
After looking and trial an error. I figured it out!! -
CHanging out my header panel and its been so long since I pulled the headlights I forgot where the adjustment spring hooks from the header panel to the headlight bucket. If it matters I am going to a 97+ panel and using the 92 bucketts and parts. Adjustment screws etc.

Jeep looks good and good luck in the Corps. I did my time and got out. I wish I had never left. I would be retired by now. -
Thanks for the reply. I checked and they are the right ones. I figured out the problem.

I am going to install a 99 8.25 in my MJ. I am wondering what perches everyone is using and where did they get them. I went to the dealership and was told they could not order them. I am also wondering placement on the axle. how far in. The old ones are already cut off. Thanks for your time.
