DING DING DING. . . Not when you add bigger tires, winches and other heavy parts to the truck, combine this with 20+ years of use/abuse!! These trucks had marginal cooling from the factory. Making the motor work harder equals more heat generated and this equals overheating. CW

The rusty color tells me there is iron in the water, which means you probably used tap water. The iron turns to rust and the rusty sludge will clog your new radiator in no time, causing overheating issues when driving at high speeds. That's why you're supposed to use distilled water, or in case of emergency and no other option, rain water. Overheating issues on the highway is usually a coolant flow problem. Overheating in stop and go traffic is an air flow problem. :agree: :agree: :agree:

I prefer DANA gears. They are marked just like the factory. This usually helps allot with the setups. A locker in the front axle has some handling quirks. Most lockers are not recomended with a two piece pass axle as most renix jeeps had. If it where mine and I was needing a carrier, a Tru Track (gear driven limited slip) would go in. Short of this a lunch box in the open carrier. (I have a Spartin sitting on the shelf for mine.) I would get the master rebuild kit. With a new carrier, new bearings are a good idea. This job really requires expertice and specailized tools to be accomplished properly. Good luck with it! CW CW

All good and viable suggestions. (Esp. leaking pressure bottle and collapsing lower hose! :bowdown: Something not too many even consider!!) Just don't forget, . . . . Me thinks he still has some foreign material in the coolant passages, possibly even partial blockages. I say he needs to start with a clean system. Cheapest way to get there is to thoroughly flush the system. May even take a couple times. Mine used to get hot on the freeway at higher crusing speeds. Mine is more from margional cooling and a WARN 8000 smack in the middle of my grill! :shake: Just my 2cents, CW

Just to further muddy the waters, EATON also makes a EZ-Locker that is a lunch box. :doh: Detroit makes a number of traction devices. I don't even have a machine yet!!! :doh: We will pickup his machine the week after next, when he gets home from Maine. I did a little research and as hard as it was decided to buy instead of build another trailer.... SO we bought a 7x12 3500K side and rear loading landscaping style trailer at Cabelas over the weekend. Gonna have momma reg it Tuesday and go pick it up Wednesday or Thursday. It's just like this only the sides in front of the wheels remove and form ramps for side loading. Pop is back up in Maine Vacationing with my sister. (Gotta love retired life) He has been gone a day and a half and has called three times with news of trails and ATV dealers he has stopped at!!! he is SOOOO HOOKED!!! If its a MJ, XJ or TJ D44 the tubes are 2.75. The D35s are 2 9/16 But other D44's are different diameters depending on what they where origionally used under. Remember there are 1/4 and 1/2 and 3/4 ton D44s. :cheers: CW

Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America . The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means. -- Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition. With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system. One of the machines I liked best was a 400 Suzuki EIGER!!! This one is a auto clutch manual shift 2007 model. Pop came mighty close to dropping the hammer on a 2008 Kawasaki 750. It is used 2008 with 10 miles. YES 10!!! 6Grand nice machine. we are holding off till Thursday when we take a ride up to a big dealership north of us. they have over a hundred used machines some with very nice prices!! We just missed out on a real steal.. 2009 Honda RINCON W plow and Winch AND two sets of tires couple hundred miles. . . . $6200!!! CW
