Ok I finally solved the alignment tool problem. But now I'm having a pilot bushing problem. Anyone who's done this swap have the part number for the correct one. 3 of them I picked up for a CJ5 have a smaller diameter center hole. I'm about to just hone it out so I can get this jeep running

Not yet, the first two I ordered were wrong. And the other two seem to be taking longer to come in. That's interesting. That's actually a good idea. Never thought of that.

Well this isn't a new clutch kit, it's just the new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel that was on the motor :)

I was assuming that's what you meant. But according to their computer it's only 5/8 so I dunno. 94

Yes they do. They all list a 5/8 tip 10 spline. Just have 4 different diameters.

I'm in the process of swapping the mj over to a AX 15 I've got the CJ-5 pilot bushing but what Clutch alignment tool do I need? The parts store lists 3 for an 87 Comanche.

Possibly. 2 are for sure being used on a couple MJ projects but the one on the jeepspeed MJ project won't be used.

mine was doing the same thing in my xj and mj so i pulled the pump yo replace them and found that the rubber pickup tube was off of the metal part, hose clamp was still on the tube so i just put it back on and they work fine the xj's has been like that for about 2 yrs now and the mj a couple months.
