  1. on another note, my sliding rear window will not open, the two middle parts seem to be stuck together, any ideas what i should do, or why it did this?
  2. yeah i am not going to trim or anything i like the 5-6inch look with 33's not trimmed ofcourse, thanks for the complements. and thanks $500Mj, i think you save me alot of headache.

  4. acutually you can really see the leak, in front of the pic of the wheel and tire is from last week then you can see the stream from it being parked farther back. :eek: it leaks alot
  5. Well i picked it up about two weeks ago. So far I have done the fron brakes, and fixed my leaky tank, while putting in a new fuel pump, now the terrible oil leak needs to be fixed. But i love it, and its a blast to drive you can see where the filler is on the bed, and partly see the oil on the driveway. i am getting a roll bar for $20 this weekend and will ditch the tool box. it will eventualy have 6inches of lift and 33's. i will post progress as it hapens

  7. well, my first question has to do with my oil leak, its a big one, (PO overfilled i think to look full, now leaks like crazy)the whole driver side frame is covered and it drips all down the side, back the the control arm. So what would you think is the issue? My next question is how can i determine the trim level of my manche. it was repanited in the past so it has no decals. the PO replaced the bench with buckets and the dummy gauges, its a 1988 4.0 4x4 5spd, with no real options. can i decode the vin to see what i have? thanks everyone

Well today i went to my grandfathers shop to do the brakes so i could drive my new manche, well on the way home she needed gas, so i filled her up, and what do you know, it starts peeing everywhere. it was coming from the rubber seal at the top of the tank. how bad to replace??? now i can't drive it for another week or two!!! :headpop:

  12. well i think i am going to do a 3.5in lift, its already lifted by the PO, but it was done in the front with a 3in spacer :eek: so i will get the re kit and leave the back till it sags or somthing. don't have the funds to go as high as i want now. thanks for all of the help everyone

  14. how is the rough country? i have heard the springs are really stiff. but then again this is an almost 20year old jeep truck. and i saw the the re also has just bout everything, just no shocks. i will look at rough country some. thanks for helping a fellow jeeper
  15. or what about that lift with a good set of control arms, and the 3in springs with 2in spacer doesnt bother me

  17. ok, i will be getting my mj soon and the crappy 3in setup has to go, i do not want to get some crappy lift that is dangerous and rides terrible. so i have been looking around and figure i will have to spend a good bit of cash to do this right. then i saw this lift, seems verry complete and uses Old Man Emu springs, is the hard ware any good? idk bout the bolt on spring over, i would weld sothething up. but tell me what you think http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-Com ... enameZWDVW
  18. wow it all makes sence now lol 8) and my grandfather has a dakota like that cept he ditched the 5.9 for a hemi, i forgot the engine size but its big, bigger that the 427, ill get some pics

  20. question, why do you have so many trucks? i understand the addiction, but i see a trail rig, two regular trucks and a dakota, why three trucks that could serve the same purpose? then again if it was me, i would prolly be the same way
