Here is the deal. I got this truck about 6 months ago in a trade since my other truck blew the motor. About 2 months ago i pulled it into my driveway turned it off and it wouldnt turn on again. ITs either the starter, starter relay or something of that nature. You put the key in turn it and nothing. I'm not going to deal with it since I already have another car that i want to get on the road. The junk yard was supposed to come pick this car up today and they didnt and i have my landlord up my @$$ to get it out.

Issues:

As stated above it doesnt start so it needs to be towed

4x4 doesnt engage, i was told its something in the front dif not engaging.

Front sway bar needs to be reconnected

no A/C

window cracked

shocks and struts could use some replacing or get a lift kit and call it a day.

Truck has a straight 4 2.4 or 2.8 i can't remember the exact size.

As you can see the truck needs work, when it ran it ran great and got me back and forth to work with no issues. THe starter was recently replaced with one from napa but i highly doubt its the starter. Has all new rear drums, front breaks were good.

Truck is perfect for somebody looking for something cheap to 4 wheel, engine hauler

I need this truck gone as soon as humanly possible. It had a stack coming out of the bed but the piping under the car rotted and broke so i took it off, it's still there if you want to put it back up.

$250 obo .

***I do not have the title since the DMV hasnt sent it yet. I have the form to have notarized that will forward you the title***

It's all legit, if the junk yard was going to accept it then I don't see why anyone else would have a problem.

Truck is located in new britain, CT I don't come on here much so please send texts to 860-819-2326

I don't pick up phone calls for numbers I don't know so please send texts first. THank you.

Nobody wants a cheap beater for a steal? Wow i thought somebody would have jumped on this deal lol.

$250 for a non-running truck with several known problems is hardly a steal. A couple of years ago I paid $100 for a 4-cyl MJ that I was able to fire up and drive home. I'm all in favor of saving MJs, since there aren't that many of them and there will be fewer every day, but I don't encourage gouging. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your truck is not worth $250.

Its worth $250, thats what he will get from the scrap hauler for scrap value alone. Go get this thing Eagle, you know you want it!

Scrap haulers around here won't pay $250 for an MJ if you drive it into their yard.

Yeah, I do want it ... but the zoning enforcement officer and my wife would have unkind words for me if I were to take it. Plus I don't really have any place to put it.

Truck is gone I actually got $200 for it from the junk yard. Took the guy 20 minutes to figure out it was a loose wire. If you think $250 isnt a steal find out how much a motor alone used goes for and tell me if you wouldnt have made your money back, or even off other parts. Either way doesnt matter to me, please delete this thread if possible. Thanks for the space.

Seems like a pretty poor attitude. Yes, it was a good deal, and I would have taken you up on it had you been closer. But you don't need to come back here all bitter because your situation got you in trouble with your landlord and no one could pick up fast enough to get it.

It took a junkyard guy 20 minutes to find a loose wire. If you hadn't panicked and just opened the hood and looked around, even clueless as you appear to be, you might have stumbled on it too and probably x3 or more your $$.

Hard lesson learned mate. Another instant gratification wanted example.............

  • 2 years later...

All I can say is I bought my 2wd Comanche for $200 after it sat in a field for 8 years, and now its a damn good truck with 240k miles and almost 4wd ($3k later, but so far it's worth it to me. 4wd MJs are harder to find in Texas I've noticed...) jamminz.gif
