RedBullMJ
Is there a difference between TJ and MJ steel block mounts (motor mounts) for the 4.0? I am in the middle of a 4.0 swap, the motor is from a 2000 TJ. I changed the MJ frame horns from 4cyl to 4.0......but the drivers side motor mount is not lining up....it stick too far out. It looks like the steel block mount is too long or too far from the block. Anyone?
tjbliley
you need to get 2000 XJ motor mounts for the block. The TJ ones will NOT work.

tjbliley
You need to address the cooling system differences. as well as the fuels pump.
RedBullMJ
You need to address the cooling system differences. as well as the fuels pump. Great suggestions. I hope to get a more efficent rad, and I hope that a factory MJ 4.0 pump will work. Anyone happen to know the fuel pressure differences between a Renix 4.0 and a 2000 TJ 4.0? Also, it appears that a NV3550 is longer than an AX15. I assume I will have to fab up a crossmember and T-case shifter bracket. I also have to cut a larger hole for the tranny shifter.
