Stumpy Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 can i swap gears from a c-clip D35 to a non c-clip D35? the only reason i am wondering is because i just happen to have a set of TJ axles with 4.56's sittin in the garage now... if the gears will swap i could atleast run em til i find a stronger rear axle and get it built.
pingpong Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Yes but the TJ front gears won't work in it. also you need to use the non c-clip spider gears with non c-clip axles.
Pete M Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I think it may be easier to modify the TJ axles to fit the MJ, but pesonally I would just sell 'em. You do realize that swapping gears is no walk in the park, yes?

87manche Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 disco has a stronger UCA mount I believe. It does have the disadvantage of the possibility of bending where the CAD motor is. Of course who's to say that what bent a CAD tube wouldn't bend a non-cad tube.
