GosaGT1988
Went to the local Pull-N-Save and found the exhaust manifold to a HO 4.0L. I'm going to put it on my engine (Non-HO). Luckily no cracks.
chicofuentes0224
I'm not sure, but I don't think it will work. I think the ports are lined up differntly. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

GosaGT1988
Unfortunately the cylinder head on the 4.0L HO was cracked, anyone know where I can find one? I was going to get both the cylinder head and exhaust manifold but you know.
chicofuentes0224
Wait, is there something wrong with your cylinder head? If you just need the exhaust manifold for your non-HO you can get em for less than $100 on EBAy. Of course you can go through the dealer and pay like $600 or if you really want a dealer part PM BLHTAZ. He can get you a better price.
Oizarod115
alright, now according to you guys an HO exhaust will NOT fit on a renix head correct? then how do i have a 97 head/block with renix intake and exhaust on it... if it doesn't work one way it shouldn't work the other right? Bacon
the place where it won't line up is at the downpipe, not the head. iirc, the HO version is pointed back more, where the renix is more straight down.
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW
It will physically bolt to the head without issues. The problem is using the Renix downpipe (it' won't bolt up) so you need to use a HO downpipe as well. The other issue is with the EGR. The HO does not have the port hole for the EGR on it so you either have to ditch your EGR or drill/tap a hole in the HO manifold.
jeepthing07
The intake ports are higher on the HO. i can't find a picture of the renix ports but there more similer to the 258 ports. The exhaust ports are the same on renix and HO 4.0 ports 258 ports
GosaGT1988
There's absolutely nothing wrong with my cylinder head. By what ya'll were saying, it would not mount up properly so I figured I would need the HO cylinder head. Well if the allignment issue is with the downpipe then there isn't an issue. I'm replacing the entire exhaust system anway. From the exhaust manifold all the way back to the tailpipe. So the downpipe alignment shouldn't be an issue right?
