However, I forgot to take note of the difference in the pads and which one leads and which one trails. I'm sure someone in this group knows. Below is an image of the pads. Thanks for all the help... dragonrider477 Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 just a suggestion.change everything.cylinders,hardware,self adjusting cables and adjusting screws.the stuff is cheap and you will have a much better working brake system.
A-man930 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 And another suggestion... NEVER have both sides apart at the same time! I don't care how many times you've done drums, it's always good to have the other side as a reference.
robertlb Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 Thanks for the suggestions. I purchased a rebuild kit from NAPA. Nearly everything is being replaced. Too late for the one side at a time suggestion. I did take pictures though, but it was too hard to tell from the pictures which pads were which. Robert
A-man930 Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I've tried pictures also, but with drums it's not really that helpfull considering how many things are on top of eachother... other things sure. And yea, thumbs up on getting your parts from NAPA... (coming from the NAPA guy 8) )
