Dana 35 lsd

Anybody know of trucks that came with LSD in the D35? Or even better that the RPO code is for LSD?

It was an option. Just about any 4.0L MJ could have it. It's pretty much a waste of your time though. The factory LS wasn't very good when it was new, let alone 20 years later. :(

I understand the xj cam with one too. Same thing i assume?

I don't have as many XJ brochures, but in 91 at least it says the same thing; optional with the 4.0L.

I bought my '88 XJ with it. It's a Dana Trac-Lok. It's a clutch type limited slip, and it works just fine. The only people who complain are those who expect a limited slip to be a locker, which it ain't. My original lasted 175,000 miles. I'm now about 100,000 miles into the second one.

 

Both my new Cherokees also have it, and the '87 MJ has a Dana 44 with the factory Trac-Lok.

From what i hear there is a sticker in the glovebox on trucks with this TracLoc. Would that be correct?

my 86 cherokee has one (and it's a 2.5 :nuts: 4.10 gears) ...I don't have any idea how that can be truth be told, but it is.

 

and my 87 4.0 4wd sport had lsd rear. both dana 35's

 

also my 89 comanche pioneer had one but that was a dana 44.

The 86 brochure says that the posi was an option with any trim level and included a fullsize spare and 4.10 gears (this is for the Comanche at least).
