bench seat- broken stud/bolt

Hey all, 

 

I just finished reupholstering my comanches bench seat and found the backrests latch on one side broke. Is this bolt that i could extract and replace? Or a stud i could weld something onto? Or is the frame trash?

is that on the back part?  if you don't have headrests, I'd seek out a rear/back frame unit that does and use that   if you're anywhere near atlanta, I can help with that.

Nope, the base. 

 

I investigated a bit more after work(did that on my lunch break. Pun no intended)- was a bolt! Anyone know a source of a new one?

No idea! I took it apart in november, then moved, then just finished. I would guess something knocked it while moving

I might have a spare around here somewhere.  I'll go on the hunt tomorrow.

If it doesn't need to be exact, look for bolts with deep shoulders. Not every hardware store will have that sort of thing, but online retailers may.
