Halton Smith
I’m currently swapping in a 1993 4.0+ax-15 out of a Cherokee into my 1986 Comanche with a factory 2.5. Swapped in a 95 Cherokee harness and need help merging taillights. I would like to keep factory plug/wires leading back from the cab. What would be the best way to go about this? Motor has not been inside the jeep yet (except to teach me I need different motor mount brackets) Any other tips for the swap would be appreciated
Pete M
I think there's a wiring diagram for that in the link in my signature?
89 MJ
I would suspect that there is a write up on that in here somewhere: https://comancheclub.com/forum/10-mj-tech-diy-projects-and-write-ups/
ThatJeepGuy
The factory 4.0 mounts from your donor should drop right into the 86 mounting holes.... How about that firewall clearance? And factory track bar upper mounting holes? And fitting the 4.0 radiator into that radiator support? I have a thread somewhere on this forum highlighting these things I'll see if I can find it
