Speedometer not functioning

Hey quick question, my speedo cable is not spinning, the cable works when i manually spin it but not when driving, the plastic gears are in good shape. Is there just an issue on the connection? Looks like there is some wear but id think it would still work

Question is, does spinning the cable by hand spin either the gear or the speedometer? If not, cable is broke. If yes, you have a bind of the gear isnt making contact with the spline to be driven.

is the cable rotated to the correct position for the tooth count of the plastic gear?

Wow I feel completely braindead. My tooth count was off I read it as 39 instead of 29. Appreciate the feedback! Speedometer works now
