  1. Afternoon Yall, I've been toying with the idea of selling my 1988 Comanche. I decided to post here because I still don't have 10 legitimate posts, but if y'all want me to post it somewhere else let me know. Since I've been on Active Duty, I don't have the time to work on it and get it out as much as I would like to. I'd really like to get it into someone's hands who appreciates Comanches like y'all do. How much do you think is reasonable for me to ask for it and where should I go about listing it? Truck has working 4x4 4.0L 146000 miles Here is the list of everything I've done. New distributor cap Spark plugs and cables Converted from closed cooling to open Tj bucket seats New 746 injectors new battery and starter replaced clutch fan 180F thermostat Ball Joints and diff fluid EGR delete and new IAC Has SOA lift and sitting on 33in tires Cons Definitely needs new shocks Probably needs leaf springs Needs clutch Has BA-10 transmission Body is quite beat up
  2. Morning Yall, I finally decide to swap to some 746 injectors this morning and now my truck won't start. The video I watched said to reset the pcm by holding the positive and negative battery leads together so i did just that. Before this swap the truck was running well. 1st thing I checked was the CPS as i hear that it causes lots of problems. I got a 215ohm reading with resistance and ZERO for voltage. I hear if it's under .5VAC it's no good. Would there be any other faults to cause it to read zero or I am overthinking this and need to get a new CPS?
  3. So I did the open system cooling conversion on my 88 a while back and am needing to hook up the auxiliary fan. Ive read through the forums a bit but haven't exactly seen a good guide. I have a HO thermostat and would like to put a temp switch in it but I don't have any idea of what temp switch to buy or even how to wire up a manual switch. If I could get direction to another post or any of yalls help would be great
  4. It runs about the same after the delete. I did notice when hand actuating the throttle it was pretty delayed response on the engine. I was able to backprobe the MAP sensor just fine so I am pretty confident that I'm doing it right. I’ll probably end up trying to test the output voltage from the ECU.
  5. Yes I am using that procedure. Is there another test point somewhere from the ecu to the sensor or do i need to trace the wire back to the computer.
  6. So I just did the C101 delete the other day on my 88 4.0 and was attempting to adjust the TPS this morning. When checking the input voltage for 5V I am getting only 20mv. Is there a way to check the reference voltage in another place? I know the 5v comes from the ecu but where do i probe it?
  7. Wow I feel completely braindead. My tooth count was off I read it as 39 instead of 29. Appreciate the feedback! Speedometer works now
  8. Hey quick question, my speedo cable is not spinning, the cable works when i manually spin it but not when driving, the plastic gears are in good shape. Is there just an issue on the connection? Looks like there is some wear but id think it would still work
