So if you remove the nuts the bolts drop down unless you devote one hand entirely to holding it up. If I were smart I'd just put a c-clip or something down there. My three are all like above and that’s what’s shown in the 87-90 parts manual. Not sure why the rod (#9) specifically says 6 cyl but no 4 cyl is listed. 22 & 23 are for diesel.
