Limeyjeeper
I appreciate the kind words. OME are tricky they have a weird part no system and constantly change their product line and part numbers. You have to go by length, stroke and what ends the shock has. I used, with a 2" lift, 60046 front and 60032 in the rear. I used OME 2934 springs in the front. I love OME used them on many Jeeps. But as always it is a personal preference, some people love them, some hate them. IMHO anything offroad that works in Australia which is the most demanding offroad environment in the world, just because of the sheer distances and heat works for me. robfg67
Ok, after doing some additional research, I think my next best step is to install the control arm drop kit. I'm going to order a set from Rocky Road Outfitters because they are MJ specific.
Htchevyii
I am running the RRO. I liked the extra brace in the back, plus the fact that the braces kind of act as a ramp if you were to back over an obstruction as opposed to some of the others that just stick straight down. robfg67
Pete, not sure how the Rusty's control arms compare in length to the stock ones. Wow, what a can of worms.

Pete, wouldn't the Rusty's control arms be the same length? How else would they fit without moving the front axle?
Pete M
lifting 4.5" on stock arms will ruin the alignment, especially the caster. on cheap lifts it's usually just the lowers that are longer than stock. on better lifts the uppers are longer too and the lowers are adjustable. got pics of what you've got? Hey Pete, got a picture of the lower control arm from the left side. It's from a Rusty's 4.5" lift kit and it measures 16" from bolt to bolt. Is that enough info to tell if the the RRO drop kits will work with these non-factory control arms?
Pete M
they appear to be 1/4" longer than stock so maybe it'll be ok? might have enough shims in the pocket to make it right.
robfg67
Shims in the pocket-sounds like a band name to me. Thanks for your help Pete. I think I'll order them and report back.
