jeepmjga
Anyone else with their crossover steering have their rods just kinda flopping around when installed. Got everything tight and loctited, got the heims clocked as far as i can but there is still a good bit of movement in the heims so it sounds terrible when I'm going wheeling or going over speed bumps on pavement. Been searching but can't find anyone else with the issue really. Maybe i got a bad set of heims? Emailed cavfab and they said "thats normal try clocking the heims more". can't be right it sounds like the front end is going to come apart when i hit a big bump. ghetdjc320
Do you have the right size misalignment spacers? How is the bolt to heim cylinder bore fit?
75sv1
I didn't use hiems on my 1-ton cross over steering. I used the 1-ton GM TREs. I could see that for Offroad, the heims would give better articulation though. I did purchase the IRO steering set up. It came with heims. Threads ar 3/4x10 or something like that. I found that ES150 TREs have the same threads. The taper is between stock and 1 ton.

I just installed what came in the kit so I assume they are correct. The hole size was a nice tight fit, reamer didn't wander or anything. The problem is more that the entire assembly kinda flops up and down, not side to side. Steering feels nice and tight, no DW or wandering or anything. Whatever next setup I use when I swap out the front axle will def be TRE's
