dante2
Just to preface these issues I have gone thru and redone cruiser54's tips and tried another known good flasher. Last week I replaced all of the bulb sockets except the front side markers. All lights work as they should now, so many issues before. One thing I noticed when using a turn signal the opposite turn signal flashes dimly when the lights are on. Both front and rear are doing it. Normal function if the lights are off. Also the temp gauge moves when starting but pegs all the way to the right and stays when running. It was working the other day when I got some gas. The only thing I've done is reattach the lower panel under the steering wheel and the cluster fascia panel. Wire on the sender at the back of the head is attached. Sorry about the long post. Not as concerned about the lights but having a functional temp gauge is important. TIA
boxyjeep
Could be a grounding issue. I’d check those first (use Cruiser54’s site). I also had to replace a few bulb sockets when I got my truck—didn’t even know those could go bad. I also replaced both flasher modules which fixed everything. dante2
I moved the truck out of the shop for a drive and the temp gauge started working for now. New problem now the turn signals don't work if the engine is running it was doing this yesterday. Today I checked all of the lights, the fuses, and changed the flasher. Still nothing. The hazards work whether the engine running or not.

dante2
Engine running no signals. Engine off key on signals work.
dante2
More info to add, neither the wipers or turn signals work when the engine is running. Multifunction switch bad?
Ωhm
Check Ignition Switch.
dante2
Ignition switch was replaced last year old one was in bad shape. I changed the column out a few years ago when I put the floor shift in. The wire from the turn signal stalk is not connected. Does it connect to this loose connector with gray, orange, and black wires? Original column doesn't have a wire from the stalk that I can see. Old column has a black and chrome stalk, new tilt column has all black stalk.

If you don't have cruise, it isn't needed. If you replaced the ignition switch, and it was in bad shape, did you check the terminals and connectors that plug into the ignition switch? If they are burnt, melted, or damaged, they need replaced as well. Replacing the switch is only half the solution if the connectors/terminals are damaged. dante2
I pulled the original ignition switch apart and cleaned the contacts. Reinstalled it and the turn signals are now working while running. I had 2 other ignition switches I was trying apparently both are bad. Does the brown wire go to the lights? The blue connector is loose around the brown wire. I crimped it down a little to keep it on. Thanks everybody for steering me in the right direction.
