KeelybLost
Hello, first time posting here. I am not sure if I am posting this in the right subsection. So I have a 4wd 5spd '88 Comanche that I got in today and the reverse gear just isn't working. No sounds, no loud "bangs" at any point. This is a first for me so before I get to opening this pig up and getting myself into trouble...do you guys have any insights as to why this may have happened? Also, simultaneously my gas gauge stopped working. Unlikely these are related but thought I'd throw it out there. Thank you in advance.
Pete M
Is it not going in to gear? Or goes in but doesn't move backwards?

I tried it again to get a more specific idea for you and now it is grinding and kicking back out of gear. Didn't do anything this morning.
pizzaman09
Does the BA10/5 have a reverse lock out mechanism? Try shifting through 1-5th then back into say 3rd prior to shifting into reverse.

In preparation I can't find this model year BA anywhere but plenty of wranglers with the BA.
Pete M
The ax15 is the usual swap upgrade. The link in my signature should have info on that.
