Pete M
the headliner in the truck I'm fixing up is intact, but exceedingly weak and flexy. anyone tried a spray-on product to help it keep it's shape? my first thought was a thin layer of bedliner-esque spray on the topside which shouldn't get too stiff that I can't still re-install it. AZJeff
how about a single layer of fiberglass mat bonded to the back side of the existing headliner base material? Not too heavy, but stiff enough.
Airborne Janitor
I used some chipboard and upholstery glue to reinforce the weak/cracked areas on my headliner and to help stiffen it up a little.
Big_Mark
What material did you use? Fleece blanket, proper headliner material, other? I have a new to me headliner without material that is in really good shape and have been thinking about reinforcing it at the velcro locations. sides (like you did) and in the location I intend to mount "the Sun" (my overhead light.) It's upholstery fabric that was installed by an upholstery shop. Finished result. My cutouts are for an XJ overhead console I modified to fit my MJ.
