Factory Front Bumper Flush Mount Fog Lights

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of welding up the front bumper to accept flush mount fog lights. Something similar to a stock JK fog light setup.  I was searching for images here and on google but could not really find anything.  Just curious if anyone here has done a similar mod?

TIA.

the bumpers are pretty much the same over the years. these are JK fogs i got for $15 bucks off craigslist locally, i used plastic spacers with stainless screws and nylock nuts to bolt to the bumper. i tried a 4" hole saw but it was difficult and making a mess, a jig saw with a blade for metal cut much easier, then i used a 3" sanding cylinder on a drill to sand the openings as close to round as i could. i used 2 color LED bulbs, white and yellow. Turn them on and they are white like the headlights, turn em off, then back on and theyre yellow. still need to bodywork and repaint the bumper. i used the stock fog light wiring and switch, and soldered on weather proof connectors.1717227468_AGallery.jpg.9b849d5d5887b46e1fd2db594bac7689.jpgIMG_0047.jpg.a8356efd3b6d2cebd38ea4800e23a234.jpg

I run them on my 1 ton JK that is pretty much trail use now but I am trying to keep the Comanche looking as stock or as close to stock as possible.  I really like the knuckle pods though.  Its nice to see where you are going offroad!
