Dand
Anybody replace the bed inner wheel wells? My son's are pretty bad shape, just wondering if anyone has used wells out of another pickup?
Pete M
that's a good question. the usual choices are scrap sheetmetal formed to fill in just the rust, or a replacement bed. I wonder if a ranger or s-10 would be close?
Strokermjcomanche
They resemble trailer fenders , they are definitely thicker gauge metal but may work with modifications
Dand
Think my biggest concern is where it meets the bed sides. I'll have to do some experimenting when I get to the bed repairs.
Parei_doll_ia
I used .050" thick steel to form patches for mine. You can't see them from the outside, so they're very easy to make. I drilled a few holes in the bed side and did spot welds to hold it on, similar to how the factory did it. If they're too far gone, you might want to look for a new bed, or one to cut patches out of. Dand
Keeponjeepinon , thanks for the pic. That gives me an idea what I'm up against. So far I think can save the bed. Atleast I'm hoping!
