Warren99
Installing long arms soon, for cutting the lca mounts, is it safe to just use an acetylene torch to cut the majority of them off, or is that bad and at risk of warping the unibody frame or something? If I have to I'll just go through 10 cutting wheels but the torch would be easier.
Pete M
I used a sawzall and just sliced along the frame.
Warren99
How was that? I imagined a sawzall taking forever, and probably longer than a zis wheel on a 90 grinder.
Pete M
I mean, they both work. but no, I wouldn't take a torch to them when slicing/grinding is needed anyways. I just can't see it saving any time.

ghetdjc320
The metal there is quite thin. There are lots of small pieces that will need to be cut but they cut very easily with a disk
Warren99
I'll end up just using a combination of both then.
