Moon
I'm not sure this is the right area to ask. I am buying 91 Comanche with about 160k on it. I believe it is in mint condition. No rust on undercarriage, power window installed, bucket seats(swapped I guess),AC and etc. Price is about $12,000 and I already put some money down to hold it for me. I love Jeep Comanche and I have been looking for this car with good condition for a long time. I think I finally found one. From my research, I think the price is reasonable. Never had a Jeep before and it will be my first Jeep. I wanted to hear some opinions or thoughts about the price and others from experts and lovers on Jeep Comanche. Thank you. 87MJTIM
The price is what a willing seller and willing buyer agree to. Post the VIN and another CC member can get info about what may have originally come on it from the factory. Is it a 4.0 or 2.5? It looks like a 4x4. (I can see a bulge under the truck, next to the left tire.) The rims aren't original. The rear bumper was replaced. Otherwise, the picture looks nice. I wasn't sure it is okay to put the link but here is the actual page for this. https://automaniagp.com/vehicleDetails.php?Comanche-859 I assume this is what you see as bulge you mentioned??? I put the vin in the registry for ya. keep an eye on it. one of the guys that works at chrysler will get you a build sheet as soon as they can. Rear bumper could be a Westin installed by the dealer.
DesertRat1991
It's a nice truck that should turn a few heads. Hopefully someone here can run the VIN for you. It's gotta be a very early '91. Looks like it has a HP D30 with CAD which is an odd bird. About half way through '91 they ditched the CAD system. For my money, I'd be very interested to know if that system is functioning properly. But no biggie, there a few aftermarket solutions to fix the CAD system. Enjoy the ride!

Since you mentioned D30 which I assume Dana30? If it is, CAD is not functioning very well? I am still learning terms and others. Not much of mechanic type. Thanks for the info. Moon
I forgot to think about the most important thing before buying a car which is maintenance. Like I I mentioned above, I'm not much of mechanic person. I could do simple stuff like changing oil and air filters. I'm not sure what mods are in this vehicle. Would there be any issues if I take it to the Jeep dealership for routine maintenance and services? Like they wouldn't take it because not their stock parts or possibly they don't know how to deal with that mods??? Any thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks. In the original photo, look just to the left of the driver's side front tire below the bumper. See the dark curve of the axle. That is what I saw. Pete M
a modern dealership won't likely have anyone there that knows the old Jeeps. have you read through this one yet?

What Pete said: modern dealerships won't know to fixed an old Jeep. Search for a repair manual online for 91-92 Comanches and Cherokees. Purchase a good quality digital multimeter (DVOM). Learn how to use the basic functions: volts and ohms. This will help you with diagnosing electrical issues. And be like me (and many others), get your YouTube Certificate. YouTube is a wealth of very useful (and not so useful) information. If you have a problem that needs fixin', someone has posted a YouTube video on how to repair it.
