CGCWO
I've been absent awhile. Got Little Blue running and driving pretty good, but I have a leak i can't track down. In a rain or when washing the truck I get a leak on the drivers side from under the dash. The water drips down onto my right foot near the gas pedal. Its not running down the firewall but rather dripping from the under the dash. I've added sealant to the entire edge of the windshield and checked under the wiper motor for any holes. Has anyone had a similar issue or have any advice on what could cause this? Really trying to figure this out without pulling the dash. TIA!!! 70barracuda
I had 2 water leaks from that area. One was the hood release cable. It was getting wet underneath the hood and traveled down the cable, through the grommet, and into the cab and hit a wire and traveled across till it dropped....that was a fun one to find. The other was the seam of the firewall right next to the clutch master. But again the water followed a wire and then dropped like 6 inches away. I had someone hold a hose on the windshield and let the water run down it like in the rain while I was underneath the dash watching.

Pete M
I've had leaks that never presented themselves with a garden hose and so I used the baby powder method. sprinkle a little bit i the suspect area and the water will make tracks through it leading back towards the source. literally anything that can possibly leak HAS leaked for some poor owner at some point in time. all holes should be inspected. the hardest one yet for me was a windshield leak in the upper corner that was dribbling down INSIDE the A-pillar and then dumping out on the floor by the door.
