Sirmasterdaddy
Mid swap. Doing the Cummins 3.3 gonna run compounds new to the forums tho I’ve read a ton of them. Might get some answers and might help someone else. Gonna keep up with progress here. This MJ has been my favorite vehicle for years. The 4.0 was well worn and did her job. On to bigger things! Pete M
need more pics before I move it, but yeah, a diesel swap will definitely get it over there. I can hear the trackbar screaming in that pic.
Sirmasterdaddy
I can get you more photos. What would you need. Sorry for the slow response I’m always busy doing something it seems. And yea it’s definitely screaming. Gonna go one ton over the knuckle and new trac
Sirmasterdaddy
Thanks! It’s been quite an effort, but I know I’m gonna love the truck even more when it’s all done. Still have to rewire the whole truck and paint it as well! The original harness was mucked up bad from plenty of brake fluid spilled on it for years. Sirmasterdaddy
Couple shots of me cleaning the bay/valve cover to paint. I love the patina look tho. Might just clean it all up and clear coat it. Same with the valve cover. Anyone have experience with their battery spilling acid and causing rust under the tray? Previous owner had no regard it seems. Glad that’s the only rust on the whole truck.
Sirmasterdaddy
It’s a 4B3.3T making 74HP factory. Inline four cylinder turbo diesel. Mating it to the AX-15 transmission. Sorry for the photo of the plate. Seems Cummins skimps on one thing… it’s the identification tag for these things, and getting a new one is like pulling teeth I hear. Sirmasterdaddy
Been super busy with work and family but I did get a few more things done. Snorkel hole back in fender well after the 2001 front end conversion and valve cover cleaned up to patina finish. Plus the intake crossover tub is painted to match the turbo but dropping the tdo4 to go Hx30/hx40 compounds.
