NO POWER ON IGNITION

1987  4.0l  aw-4   4x4

The truck sat for a few months. I jumped it off to move it, and while I was driving I turned on the a/c. As soon as I powered on the a/c the truck died. Since that day, the only thing that works are the headlights. I have put in a fresh battery and cables, new starter relay, have checked all of the fuseable links to be good. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the ignition switch about half way down the column

I bought a new ignition switch and tested it in the cab and still nothing. By testing in the cab I mean cycling the switch with a screwdriver.

Today I put a jumper wire to the red wire on the ignition switch and everything worked and truck ran. So, I am losing power to the red ignition wire somewhere.

This RED wire ties back to one of the fusible links (GRN). Only connector is C100_D4.

I figure out that the red battery wire at d4 was broken in the c100 connector in the firewall that goes to the fuse block. Thanks for the suggestions.
