wierd noise...

i have this new noise coming from under the truck and i was wondering if you guys might be able to figure it out.

you know when you get out of a bed and i gives a loud deep creeking noise..well when i come to a compleete stop, shift into first and my truck starts to move this creeking noise develops as i depress the clutch and give it gas. it sometimes does it when i shift into second too.

i don't know if this has any revelance to the situation, but i just repaced the catalytic converter and this noise started. don't think they have any connection to the noise.

 

could it be driveshaft??

Crawl under and check things out. Mine was the lower control arm bolts were loose at the frame.

I am gonna guess the rear leaf springs. Mine do this almost exactly as you describe, only I have an auto.

 

I spray them down with a good penetrating lube and they are good for a couple months.

that might be it but when the noise happens it sounds like its underneath my feet...the vibrations are very loud

If directly associated with the clutch. It could also be the throw out bearing.

check tranny bolts for tighteness, mine on puke lossened up and started up some whining with clutch, but whould atleast recheck everything you messed with.
