Another strange question guys, on my 87 I have manual windows. It has that metal worm or coil that goes up in that track. I have lubed it well and it goes up and down pretty easy. My question is it hits the bottom of the door or even my speaker. Is there a clip or anything that holds it up against the door or is it designed to just go into the door cavity. If there is a clip can someone show me how it goes. Thanks guys

What is it that is hitting your speaker? The glass or the coil cable? The coil cable should be in a sheath and clip that holds it along the bottom of the door with the end of it facing the back edge of the door.

The coil is hitting it. It stays in the track rolled up, but when I roll it down it goes down to the door and hits it and kinda rolls up. It is in no sheath or clipped to the side. You happen to have a picture of what it looks like all sheathed and clipped?

Follow up question to the rubber piece the worm goes through, can I just pick up a regular piece of black hose and cut it to length? If so what size and inside diameter?

It would need to be more like a plastic tubing
