weird build code 5KM?

I noticed this weird code on my build sheet on my 1989.  Anyone know what this means?   Was it a company car, some kind of sweepstakes giveaway or ???

There's actually a few of them, do a search for yourself. 

 

I can't imagine it's anything special.

it's hard to say if it's an original meaning or a reused code.    a lot of the old info is lost to us.

I see its a fairly common code...maybe some sort of special employee pricing discount?  I was just curious was all.
