is that weird perforated leather stuff still available?  it's gotta be right if you're doing a resto.  :dunno:

That's why I was thinking on a resto someone might pay that, but the simple answer is.......yes. Before I reupholstered my MJ seats in classic 80s burgundy tweed/houndstooth, I looked at lots of other options with the shop and they had perforated leather and "leatherette" (vinyl) available. I thought about keeping the burgundy vinyl bolsters on the sides and replacing the OE worn out houndstooth pattern cloth on the seat bottom and backrest with black perforated leatherette. Kept it original looking and love how it turned out. Big I digress........

Definitely available - my friend just got his Toyota Highlander reupholstered in perforated vinyl that looks a lot like the stock wheel covering.
