zomeizter Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 Say dudes, I will be upgrading the D30 a little bit by removing the CAD system and installing a Yukon Gear axle kit and lunch box locker. Since I'm in there, I am interested in installing some flipserts to get the TREs over the knuckle. I'm not having any bump steer or death wobble at all but I want to ensure I keep the best steering angles, is this worth it? How about a dropped pitman arm? I did a bunch of research on the XJ crews and there's lots of debate on this, not a lot of MJ specific stuff so I ask y'all here, holler...
Pete M Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 don't drop the pitman unless you're also dropping the trackbar. those angles need to stay close to each other. the front is all identical to an XJ, so their tech is our tech. but yeah, the debates will always rage on since there are many ways to skin the proverbial cat. your tech questions will get more eyeballs if you put them into the Tech forum.
zomeizter Posted April 13, 2021 Author Posted April 13, 2021 Hehe, that was supposed to go on the Tech area...

Smokeyyank Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Keep the stock setup and upgrade to a solid tierod. Unless you're going 35's really no need to mess with what's there and flip the tie rod.
zomeizter Posted April 15, 2021 Author Posted April 15, 2021 Got the solid tie rod...well, I reckon I'm good.
