Suspension and Nerf Bars

Recommended Posts

So I am trying to decide what the best option is for upgrading the suspension on my 1987 SWB 4.0 Auto. From what I can tell it has an old Trailmaster 4/4.5 inch kit on it with coils, add-a-leafs, drop brackets for the lower control arms and from sway bar. A few measurements revealed it sits about an inch lower on the drivers side. I am going to be running 32x11.50x15s and don’t want to cut up fenders.

My initial thoughts were to just add 1.5 or 1.75 inch spacers to the coils and new shocks along with all new bushings and rod ends for the front and leave the rear alone except for shocks.

After discovering the lean to the drivers side I now want to level everything out.
won't be doing any heavy duty wheeling, mostly a daily driver with an occasional mud or sand trail. I plan on keeping the spring under on the rear.

What are ya’lls thoughts?

Also what is everyone using for nerf bars that have a drop step incorporated?

TIA

After putting a set of RedRock drop step bars on our JKU I’ve decided to try and use the same style for a 2dr JK on the Pioneer.

Did you have any luck mounting the RedRocks on your pioneer?
