using the Eaton E Locker?? Kind of another option to ARB lockers because it is about the same price if not a little less?? I want to know the good bad and ugly of it. Thanks

I rode in a TJ a few weeks ago that had that thing in it, the e-locker did not work as a limited slip at all, and when we engaged it, nothing!! either. Every now and then, it would try to work, but nothing. I have an ARB in mine, but have not wheeled it yet.

Is the Eaton supposed to be a limited slip when it's not locked? I thouhgt that one was either open or locked.

From what I have heard, it is supposed to be a limited slip when unlocked, but they have had many problems. If you are going to spend that kind of money, I think the ARB is a better buy, even though the install is not as easy. A friend of mine has the OX locker, and he is very happy with it.

we've got an ARB in the XJ

works GREAT, if you're already running an OBA setup its cheaper too cuase you don't need to buy the ARB compressor.

trail repairs aren't fun but compression fittings to fix the vinyl lines (normal blue ones) are cheap at any autoparts store and we barely got one on there and it held up all weekend so

Yeah it is open or locked just like an ARB or OX. The problem with OX is the cable is really testy you have to mount it just right and finding a place to mount it is pretty hard. Easier in an MJ but not so easy in a crammed TJ. ARB you just have to do all the air lines and junk. Which everyone loves them they are tried and true. But I really don't want to put one in my Wrangler. Even with the benefits of having a compressor. Plus who needs one when everyone has them and you can get your tires filled up by someone on the trail. As far as the Eaton is concerned a lot of the first ones have had problems but I have heard they are getting better and so I am interested in just a flip of a switch.
