jtdesigns
sorry for diggin up an old post but I was admiring the fab work on this trailer tracker...
Tracker
Thanx. If you followed the thread you'll see I sold it to a guy on NAXJA. He has a lifted Waggy and he's doing the trailer to match it. He posted pics when he got the matching rims and 33's on a couple months ago. It's looking good. Next step will be the color and the wood-grain vinyl. WA_ZJ_Guy
How difficult was it to remove the cab from the factory "frame rails"? I am getting ready to sawsall a truck in half and use 2" sqaure tube to do the tongue. I like the idea of using the orginal frame better. buffalob
Not meaning to hijack the thread.... But I am glad to learn the build history on this trailer... I bought it from the Naxja Waggy guy (thanks Robert)a few months back, and had it hauled from Anahiem to Denver. Working on raising it up tp fit behind bucky, pictures to follow soon. The addiction is addicting. Buffalob

Using the factory frame worked out pretty good. The lines are real consistent and it seems pretty darn strong. If you go back to the post where I tie the two sides together you can see how it worked out. (It's upside down in the pic) Those bolts are all factory, screwed into factory threads. I just added the hitch piece and an "I" shaped piece just behind the hitch. Not meaning to hijack the thread.... I haven't been on the forum for quite a while but my son drove his MJ over tonight and it made me think of the trailer. The 2.5 we rebuilt for the MJ just turned over 30K miles. We'd love to see some fresh pics.
WA_ZJ_Guy
I decided to just cut the frame rails. I have a guy that wants to buy the rear half of the cab to replace both of his B-pillars. You old trailer is exactly what my target it, but building (painting) to match my XJ.
