Richard 91
Can anyone tell me where the HVAC drain is located, my AC is leaking on floors
eaglescout526
Passenger side, behind the lower dash panel is the entire HVAC box. In the engine bay, behind the charcoal cannister is the drain tube for the condensation. That could be blocked but you will have to unbolt the dash if you really want to get in there and see what's up.
Richard 91
Ok thanks, I have to remove dash anyway to see where some of my other water leaks are coming from.
Manche757
Unwind a wire coat hanger and run the curly end into the drain tube from the engine side of the firewall. If it pees freely, you found the problem. If the ac is a new install in a MJ that never had ac there is a pop out plug in the firewall that needs to be removed for the drain line. Also the firewall may have been bent so straighten it and seal around the drain tube. I had ac replaced in one MJ and installed in another MJ that never had ac. Between the two, I had those problems. You might check to see if your leak is coming in at the wipers. That drain might be clogged.
