JeepFanatik Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 Has anyone retrofitted A/C into a non A/C manche? I would love to have working A/C in mine since it won't be a dedicated trail rig. Or would it be easy enough to just buy a 97+ donor XJ with A/C and just perform a 97+ swap for the interior and all drivetrain?
eaglescout526 Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 If your truck is still Renix, you'll need to source Renix era parts for your 4.0L. Lost of guys on here have added AC to their non AC trucks. 2.5L on the other hand is tougher to find parts for.

eaglescout526 Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 Its recommended to go as new as possible. If your 4.0L has the AC delete, all youll need is just the Compressor, no need to source mounting brackets. Should be able to get all new parts from anywhere.
