Roll bar in Florida pic-n-pull

Recommended Posts

There are two Comanche's sitting in the pre-salvage lot in Clearwater/St Pete. One has a roll bar in it but I can't say if it is a LB or short from the way it is parked - big place. It may take a few weeks for it to make it into the gen pop but I will post a picture of it when it does. I am still looking Cabz . There is a bed light on the MJ that is already out for salvage-fyi. Rich

hey thx i will let you know once i get it if i need any help.

Did the rollbar mount to the front side of the wheelwell, the top of the wheel well, or the floor of the bed? If it mounts to the floor or the top, it might still work with a longbed.

The stock LWB rollbar mounts to the front slope of the wheel well in the bed. I think what Jeep did is make the conection point where the slope bars and the main hoop a bit longer .

It could possibly be made to work :D

What is that rollbar goin for? and where abouts in FL is it?

Yes, "Jeep" bars do connect to the front of the wheelwell, though I think it's a bit more than just the length of the bars. It could also be the angle they come down at. Not sure. Most aftermarket bars I've seen are more adaptible in the way the rear bars mount (so a single design fits more trucks) and the bar that was in my 90 mounted to the top of the wheelwell and could have fit either short or long (too bad it was a rusty piece of junk).

It is in Clearwater/St Pete. I never bothered to ask how much because I "Knew" you were looking for a LWB roll bar. It was pretty nice. If you decide to go for it, I will help you pull it and load it on your truck :) Call LKQ at 727-572-1976 -Rich
