Rough idle after swap

What's the plugs look like? I know you just replaced them but with it running rich it could have fouled them, also check for correct firing order

Are you using the injectors from the 98 4.0?

I'll check the plugs shortly.....the injectors I'm using are from a 1998 4.0 my block is a 99 4.0. I got the injectors from a junk yard a few months back, they were in the old.motor and I did have a high idle but not a rough idle.

Anyone ever lose brakes in a swap? Developed a super soft pedal, resouvor (sorry for the terrible spelling) is still full of fluid.

Okay, I'll look into finding some renix injectors this week

Previous owner had aftermarket 4 hole injectors and one went bad, I found the first set I could find that had the same pigtail connector and threw the in

Did you connect the booster back up, you could have a vacuum leak

So I haven't had money to get injectors yet but the truck was running and driving, had a hesitation at anything under 1/4 pedal but above that it ran fantastic, does anyone have any ideas as to what this is. It backfired real bad a few times and stalled today, now it won't run at all

Put renix injectors in today, still no start, can smell fuel and have spark. Going to test fuel pressure tomorrow. Any ideas at all from anyone?

Got the spark thing figured out, got worked up and panicky cause my truck was sitting in a $#!&ty neighborhood. The metal tab on the rotor cap broke off.....I checked spark at the coil and got shocked and skipped over the distributor.

Also I put renix injectors in and I still have a rough idle and a hesitation under 1/4 pedal, anything above that and it runs great shift smooth. I checked vacuum at idle I have about 16 (I think it's psi) on the throttle it's about 20, also checked fuel 40 psi holding nicely.
