Eagle
Does anyone use it? If so, can you tell me if it's possible to delete a poor audio track and then record a narration track to go along with the video?
Jeep Driver
https://www.openshot.org/ This is what I have used. Says you can strip audio and lay down new track.

thecodemonk
I did years ago...it was pretty easy to use. You should be able to delete the bad audio and overlay a new one on top no problem (or just mute the audio from the video and use your own instead). I know I did that when I was using it. Eagle
Sounds too easy, but I tried it and it seems to work. Thanks, Gents.
Rambalac
This article ( https://www.xp-pen.com/forum-1595.html ) is about the top 18 free and paid video editor software for Windows , Linux , Mac OS. You may check it out if necessary. I used to use Windows Movie Maker but found ShortCut to have better workflow and stability. ShortCut is able to help us edit videos by cutting, trimming, cropping, adding special effects, inserting watermarks, etc. I hope that my reply can help you.
