unknown connector near ignition coil

In replacing the engine/trans in the 89, I've encountered a no crank situation. Found this connector under the underhood circuit breaker cover. any ideas --- please This was a 4.0L & ax-15 swap to replace the 4.0L & ba-10.  Maybe for Auto trans? (not needed eh?)

Looks like C109. Engine Harness to Engine Control Harness. Next to RH shock tower.

You should have a plug just like that going to the manual trans.

 

4 wires, plugs into separate harness. 2 wires for back up lights. 2 wires for 4X indicator lights. 

 

I suspect that is what that plug is.
