I recently acquired a very nice 89 MJ that had one glaring cosmetic flaw. The vinyl seat cushion top was still usable but cracked/torn. While searching ebay for some kind of seat cover I found a new, old stock, factory original cover. It was listed for a 88,89 cherokee. The picture looked right so I took a chance. It arrived via brown truck today and Yay, perfect . Now to rebuild that seat.

Sorta interested in what you have in mind for rebuilding the front seat. My cover is good but the seat itself sags really bad on the drivers side.

I have seen information on this forum regarding tightening up the underside of these seats. I won't know about mine til I get it apart.  It probably won't happen until we get back from the winter in the south.

New on the forum. Gotta figure this all out. Will post some pics soon.

if you're on a laptop, you should be able to just drag your pics right into the text box.  :L:
