John6574 Posted August 24, 2018 Share Posted August 24, 2018 Hello, Just saying hello, I live in Vancouver BC and I have a fondness for the Jeeps with the Renault diesel engine. I am hoping to locate parts since a friend borrowed my Jeep and the timing belt snapped. I have tried posting a want add but had no luck with that. Hopefully there are a few out there that own these older diesels. I started working on Jeeps when I was a kid, my first was a 1949 Willys. Now I am going to rebuild the engine on mine if parts can be obtained. Thanks in advance and I look forward to reading your posts. gogmorgo Posted August 25, 2018 Share Posted August 25, 2018 I wanna say there was a Winnebago with the same diesel engine. LeSharo? Maybe? I really know nothing. But I remember reading posts about people having luck sourcing some parts at RV dealers. Possibly online from Europe too if you have part numbers. I can't imagine a timing belt changing between applications of the same engine. But like I said I don't know much about the diesel. They're pretty seriously rare, as I'm sure you know. There is a place in the United States out west that sells Winnebago parts , Mike was the guys name and he can get most of the lesharo parts that are Comanche compatible.
