fuel tank

6/2018  got my 90 comanche p/u from 10 mouth paint and floors replace.  now I add gas and gas runs out a fast as I put in in.  cannot see tank because of cover and I don't have lift.  is there a repair shop in conn who can fix    thank you  dwa

where is it leaking?  from the side of the tank where the gas goes in? or from the side near the center of the truck?

I had this problem when i bought mine.. I got lucky looking under the truck when I was filling and saw it pouring out where the O-ring is suppose to be around the In-Tank Sender unit.

3$ Fuel Tank O-ring at Autozone, Boom problem solved, for me anyway. Hopefully its that easy for you too!

If it has a factory skid plate over it, there is probably a bunch of crud in between the skid and tank that has caused the tank to rust through. 

Remove the skid and inspect.

A rusted tank will have to be replaced. Its not a terribly difficult job.
