So I know I’ve been asking a lot of engine questions but since  I know there’s added work for 4.0 on a 86 MJ. Would it be harder to put the 4.7 stroker? Also can the ax15 be used for this?

There is no size difference from the 4.0 to the 4.7 because the internals are what makes a 4.0 a 4.7 .  Yes you can use the ax15 , the  clutch master cylinder bolts will need re drilled because the 86 holes will be sideways and the 87+ will be up and down .

Advance Adapters makes the adapter for this master to your existing line or you can use new BSS line.

You have options.

The above should be a decent master, US made, Bendix.
