TheKelly's Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 So I just finished repairing, re wrapping and cleaning the dash wiring harness from a 1993 XJ that I'm using for our MJ. The attached photo shows a plug that I don't know what it's purpose is. It had broken 3 prong part in it but not enough left to ID. It's about in the middle of the harness... you can see just under the ridged black plastic tube. Any thoughts?

Looks like a connector for one of the left panel switches. Either rear cab light, or fog lights. IIRC green/black (x2) tracer with a black is fogs, and cab lights were pink with black trace (x2) and a ground. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

Got caught up in 3 wires and a big harness picture.Anyway, on with reality again.Rear window defrost from the looks of it. Red plug, heavy Guage power lead in. Color traces match the circuit diagram. The red plug is definitely the rear defrost. And it looks like a switch connector. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
DirtyComanche Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 I concur that connector is rear defrost switch.
