DirtyComanche Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 So my door lock piled up for the last time on me today and I may have said some slightly negative words to my poor Comanche. The ignition cylinder is worn out to the point that I can take the key out while it's running, which is handy for getting my mail (community mailbox), but the downside is any would be theif can start it with a screwdriver. Can you order a set of keyed alike cylinders anywhere? 2 door locks and 1 ignition. It's the new style bisexual keys.

Get the new ignition cylinder keyed to whatever the new door key is... The other option would be to revert to the original setup with different ignition and door keys. The newer keys are easier when you're fumbling in the dark, that's all.
Ωhm Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 Key your locks to a blank key. This way when you lose your keys, you can just buy a blank. No one else needs to know this except for yourself. shhhh.

But now that I've said that I'll probably drop them in the snow and have to try to find them in spring (like one of the trip springs off my plow truck, it's out there, somewhere, I hope).
