Once upon a time on CL that little $1 next to the title (JEEP COMANCHE MJ XJ CHEROKEE - $1) meant $1000 ... I would guess the expectation is more nowadays. I tell ya here in the DMV area everyone thinks they have a gold mine and everything is worth double elsewhere. He'll be waiting a LONG time to get 6K for those two. I have a friend who has parted over 50 Jeeps... says he ALWAYS starts negotiating at half listed price (cash in hand) and more often than not brings something home. Unless I think its unreasonable then I'll list it form 25% above what I want and tell them low-ball offers ignored. I've started using FB more than CL cause CL people are the worst... Not that FB is great, but people tend to be more responsive. I'd say about 15% of people I email or text on CL actually reply... it's about 40% on FB.
